“After Hurricane Katrina, we had no communications.  No phones.  No cell phones. No Internet.  The OSI team jumped right in to provide our early communications and became part of our Sheriff Department.  We used everything they had...phone, fax, Internet, everything.  They became an important part of our command center.  In fact, if it wasn't for OSI, I wouldn't have been able to track down my family after the storm.  They are the reason I found my daughter.  There was absolutely nothing like OSI on the ground after the storm and when they left to go help somewhere else, we felt it because no other communications were available.  I personally wouldn't mind if OSI became a permanent fixture down here for when storms like this happen.  I can't tell you what it means to me that these guys showed up and helped out of the goodness of their hearts and made a difference.”

- Sgt. Gregg Hauck, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff Dept., St. Bernard Parish, LA

[At the Strong Angel III demonstration], OSI showed up on time; showed up friendly; and showed up helpful.  They were always present when needed and always helpful when asked.  When other communications went down, OSI stepped up to the plate with a ‘can do' attitude.  The people were as nice as the technology was solid.  Their operators obviously knew exactly what they were doing and the bottom line is, OSI's capabilities always worked.  In some sense they were so good, when we encountered problems we could assume "OSI will just take care of it."

Thank you for all of the generous assistance and consultation that you have so kindly provided both to the development of my personal understanding of 'real world' field tactics and operations and, most particularly, to the ongoing development and testing of the ghillie units that have proven themselves to be pioneering a new science in the protection of military personnel and surveillance officers against detection from night vision and thermal detection apparatus. It has been a real pleasure to work with you over the last (can you believe it?) twenty months - I count the days we spent together at Fort Knox and at TREXPO among the most beneficial that I have ever been privileged to experience.

Thank you again... for your assistance and support last week. Your assistance was most appreciated as we scrambled to prepare a story on Khalid Shaikh Moha, mmed and the Abu Sayyef for our Friday night special on the FBI's list of the 22 most wanted terrorists. As you know, we did the special in less than two days at the request of The White House. Thankfully, the special resulted in more than 1,400 tips and we continue to receive more tips this week.
